A few of the members of #TeamForge got over to Adelaide recently for the 2020 edition of the Santos Tour Down Under. The team got some good riding in over the course of the week, watched some excellent racing from some of the world's best cyclists, and even got to meet a couple of them in person. You can tell from the smiles how good a time they had!
The rides went all over Adelaide and the surrounding countryside, and gave the team an excellent opportunity to get out and experience some different riding conditions, including exploring some of South Australia's gravel roads. The Adelaide Hills got a more mixed response from the team, with a couple of team members still feeling the effects from the holidays and New Years as they tackled some 8-10% gradients around Adelaide.
The team got prime position on Sunday for the final stage and the decider of the Tour Down Under on Old Willunga Hill. The team was close enough to see the King of Willunga, Richie Porte, defend his crown and take the Ochre jersey. While he finished second on the stage, Team Forge thinks with another Ochre jersey win this year, he remains the unrivaled King of Willunga!
Team Forge had a great week of riding, spectating, and socialising at the 2020 Tour Down Under. Plans are already being developed for the team to be there again in 2021!
